  • Supporting AIDS Walk New York

    GMHC’s AIDS Walk NY has been such an important cause to The Container Store employees in the New York area for so many years – and we were so proud to have our Sixth Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Westbury, and White Plains stores in New York, as well as our Paramus, New Jersey store take part. When I joined the company about five years ago and saw how dedicated everyone was to participating in the AIDS Walk, I knew I wanted to be a part of this great cause as well.   • Bringing our Vendors and Community Partners Together

    We were excited to bring together two of our stakeholders as part of our vendor Kronos’ annual conference that was held this year in our hometown of Dallas. Recognizing our passion for and commitment to our communities, Kronos asked us to help them incorporate a community project into their first day’s team building activities, which included a bike build!   • 2014 Soap Box Derby

    Our annual Soap Box Derby competition at our Home Office and Distribution Center is a time-honored tradition. All of our departments get together each year and create a highly creative, personalized soapbox car to enter in the race, in hopes of taking home 1st prize and bragging rights.To make sure everyone was “fueled-up” before the big race, we invited several local food trucks to serve our employees lunch, including Ruthie’s Rolling Creperie, Pompeii, Gypsy Scoops, and Easy Slider.
