Each and every one of our employees means so much to us and we cherish them every, single day! But it’s especially great to celebrate our 5000 employees from coast to coast (and our elfa employees on the other side of the pond) on this special day — our National We Love Our Employees Day!

As we bring our fiscal year to a close at the end of this month, it’s so fabulous to look back at what we‘ve accomplished as individuals and as a team. We’re a stronger company and community now more than ever. We’ve channeled our collective energy, passion and talents into opening four new stores, launching The Gift Registry and hundreds of new products, all while delighting our customers with service and solutions that we hope gets them dancing each time they open the door to their organized closet.

Together we make our success by our commitment to excellence in everything we do and our unwavering support of each other. And there are more great things on the horizon for our wonderful company in 2012, including more new stores and a wealth of opportunities for us all of our employees to shine!

Speaking of the horizon… did you hear what our fearless leaders Kip, Sharon, Melissa and Garrett did to tell our employees how much they’re loved? Let’s just say they did a bit more than just shout their love from the rooftop. They wrote our employees the BIGGEST LOVE NOTE EVER on the roof of our home office in Coppell, TX — it measures 58,800 square feet!! You’ve got to see it to believe it — be sure to watch the video at the top of this page.

As a new resident to Texas I stumbled upon heaven, as I gazed up at the huge white letter lighted sign I started trembling “The Container Store?” I thought to myself, we didnt have this in Jacksonville so this was completely new to me. I took a deep breath and walked inside, upon my first steps I was greeted with friendly smiles and warm welcomes, the store was immaculate and there were rows and rows of all types of organizational items that could fill your every need of your hearts desire. “This really is heaven” I thought to myself.
I must’ve spent hours and hours inside the store that day, finding everything I once dreamed about become a reality to finally organize my home the way I’ve been picturing it for years. Thank you container store for just being you and having amazing employees that love to help with your every need and thank you for allowing my organizational skills to flourish with the products you have available. You guys are definitely amazing and I most certainly will be back again, and again and again.

Your employees in your Cherry Hill, NJ store are terrific. The last time we were there we had a ton of questions and they had a ton of patience. The mgr was wonderful. We kept filling our cart. We attended demos, even won a gift card. It started with an Elfa pantry last year and it’s escalated since then! Everyon is so professional, so patient, so knowledgeable, and so personable. We’re both hooked. We are trying to get your company to bring a store closer to us. We live in the central part of NJ and this store is over 50 miles as is the other one in northern NJ. If we go into NYC we’d have to carry everything home! We keep giving recommnedations of areas when we visit, but we’d visit more if you were closer!

I would like to thank an employee at the White Plains store.I didn’t catch her name but she helped me organize my lower baking drawer.She saw my basket and was interested in my project.I had originally selected containers that were nice for a pantry.She suggested I may want to check out the Italian containers with clear tops.I am so glad I listened.They not only look fantastic but they help me view my contents.Baking is easier for me now because everything is accessible and time saving.

I want to say that I like Mary at the Chicago store! We met at the Oak Brook store when I started working there part-time. Well after I left the Container Store in Chicago, I would still shop there. Every time, I shop there, Mary would have a smile and take the time to say “Hi,” or chat. She’s one of the friendliest salesperson/sales leader I have ever met. If I ever returned to work at the Container Store, it would be because of her enthusiasm, personality and the knowledge that she works as hard as everyone else at the store.

We visited the Dadeland – Miami, FL store this afternoon. My husband & I were looking for shelving to arrange three different closets. We were unsure how to configure the two smaller closets and had not considered the elfa system but Claudia showed us several displays and spoke about how happy long term customers are with the system, she had us interested. Claudia introduced us to Judy who explained the options available with this system. Using our measurements, she designed three closets and we are now seriously thinking about using this system.

The employees we worked with were very patient and likeable. Our regrets are that we missed the sale by one day and the product is rather pricy for the amount of space we need to fill.

There are about one hundred reasons why I love the employees at the Container Store. They led me when I am lost, they are my therapy and they assure me life will be just fine! Every time I enter a Container Store I always have a joyful employee guide me in the right direction. Whether I am looking for shoe storage or hangers there is always a reliable employee to guide me when I am lost. They become my therapist and teach me how to work through my disaster closet issues. One step at a time, breathe, another step, use this organization system, breathe! The employees at your Houston store are helpful and friendly. Lines move quickly and I love the fact that everyone comments on what is in my basket. I drive in from New Orleans once a year for my back to school supplies and am almost giddy. My cart is often filled with wrapping paper and things for my house. The organizational ideas are great and the no pressure sales work wonderfully. What a great sales pitch to hear your employees say, “I have one of those and I just love !”

A huge bear hug to all of the employees in your NYC 6th Ave. location. You all have changed my life this year. I have been struggling in a doll-housed sized apartment for a decade and my new addiction to your products has enabled me to carve out a sense of calm and order in what had become the chaos of a creative soul with too many interests. Your NYC employees are nothing short of amazing- as I wander thru the stores of a city where surly is too often the best word to describe many salespeople who are often lost in their cellphones on personal calls, the people working at the Container Store on 6th Avenue shine like a beacon of excellence with the caring and expertise they deliver every time I enter the store! I especially remember the young woman who stopped to help me get my overladen cart to the counters and another guy who took the time to help me figure out the shelves I should buy on a future visit. Always friendly, always polite, always informed and always ready to help.
As Deborah Kerr whispered to Burt Lancaster in “From Here to Eternity”… I never knew it could BE like this. You all are the BEST! Love you all!!!

When I called last year the most hectic time of the year Christmas. I made an order by phone and I went to pickup immediatley @ store in Dallas, Tx on Northwest Highway across from NorthPark Mall. I was informed they offered CURBSIDE pickup. OMG!!! I could not CONTAIN myself.

Deepest appreciattion for Cathy at Southlake, TX store. I walked into the Southlake store needing to reorganized at least 4-5 old closets realizing it would “redefine” the function of several major rooms in our home. What a task! I needed design help, honest feedback and moral support. Her experience, creativity and suggestions were exactly what I needed to move forward in “defining” three rooms. She beautifully created the most effective space for four old closets. A few days later we actually returned requesting her to redesigned our master closets eliminating the need for extra bedroom furniture. There are not words to express my gratitude for her patience and commitment to the best solution towards our home and budget. Thank You!!!

I was in the store twice during the last day of the Elfa sale, and called again at closing time. In spite of how busy the store was and how many people wanted help, advice or attention, the employees were helpful, patient and smiling. Several saw me looking at one item or another and stopped to coment on item features. Although I called again right at closing and the employee could have just said , “sorry, we’re closed”, the employee cheerfully took my order. The container store employees are great!

I am from Michigan and we don’t have one of your stores yet, so on vacation to Branson, MO I got my husband to stop in St Louis so I could exchange a couple items that I had ordered incorrectly. The gentleman that waited on me was so friendly and helpful. As I broused the beautiful store, I was offered assistance from several other employees, and they were wonderful. They took me right to the items that I was interested in purchasing.I wished I could have spent hours in that store. It truly was a major highlight for my vacation.

When I visited the Lexington Avenue store recently , I was overwhelmed with the selection on two floors. As a male of course, I did not ask for directions. Finally, I asked a rep who told me very specifically where the item was she offered a caring smile.
When I was leaving and thanked her, she was genuinely curious if I found the specific item-again a warm smile.
What a positive experience for a $9 purchase.
Bravo.

It is not a surprise to me that The ontainer Store is consistently among the leaders is “the best place to work” statistics. The employees definitely show that!

The employees in the Charlotte are more kind than any store I have ever been in. I have to travel by wheelchair and in most stores I feel I am not wanted there but not in the Container Store. They seem happy to see me and go out of their way to help me reach stuff or get me a basket if my arms get too full (I always buy more than I went for!) They are just so pleasant to be around. The Container Store is my Favorite Store!!

I love being organized and clutter-free. When someone told me about the Container Store, I had to rush right over and see if this was the store I had been waiting for. Sure enough, it was! Upon entering, I was greeted by sincerely genuine, friendly people, who truly wanted to help me with my first shopping experience there. Each took their time with me, reviewing my list, as if they were my personal shoppers. We exchanged ideas about different ways to organize and at the end of my excursion, one of the employees suggested I get a job at The Container Store, stating my ideas were just what the company looks for!! This took place at the Paramus, NJ store and I have been a loyal customer ever since!

Even though it was a total madhouse, we had 4 employees ask us if we needed help, one even stopped to talk about different uses for a product we were looking at. To top it all off when we checked out, she said “Oh I hope you didn’t have to wait too long in line, I’m sorry.” I told her it was a Saturday in Chicago at the elfa sale, of course we expected it to be busy but we didn’t expect such kindness from all of the employees! I love your employees, too. Last year, I did two walk-in closets, two wall units and one rolling basket unit in Elfa. Rosa from the Rockville, MD store helped me with all of them. She was fabulous to work with – always patient, full of great ideas, and positive energy. I loved working with her as much as I love my Elfa! In fact, not a day goes by that I don’t think of Rosa – all it takes is for me to step into my fabulous closet and I quietly thank Rosa for helping me make it happen.

We went to the Container Store for the first time a few weeks ago looking for help for a messy closet. Becky greeted us, gave us a tour of the store and informed us of the Elfa and the Elfa sale. We went home, took mesurements, played on the website, and came back a week later to talk to to someone about getting new closets. We have an old house, and the closets are oddly shaped, but Charlie was amazing and designed the perfect closet for both me and my boyfriend. The closet was installed two days later, and they are perfect. Now, I am in love with The Container Store. The quality of service, and high level of professionalism we experienced from everyone at the Cherry Creek store made our experience one we will tell our friends about! Thank you for your kindness and your help!

The Container Store is my FAVORITE store and all of you, the employees, are the best. I’ve never walked into a Container Store (and I’ve walked into MANY) where the employees weren’t nice and helpful and offered helpful suggestions. They were even nice to my crying kid – and we all know, if it’s not your kid, and he/she’s crying on top of it, most people (rightly) run in the other direction. I don’t want to limit this to the stores however. Any time I’ve called with a question, the phone help is equally kind and nice and helpful. I realize I have a problem because I love your store so much However, I can easily say that probably more than your products, your customer service and employees rock! So – thank you thank you and from this customer – WE LOVE YOU!

I <3 shopping at the Columbus Ohio store, in The Village at Easton so much that we make the 5 hour drive about three times a year from our home near Pittsburgh PA. It would be great to have a store closer, but would miss all the friendly faces we've come to recognize over the years!

Love your store and all your employees! I used to shop at the Arlington, VA location where everyone was a sweetheart and now I shopp at the San Francisco, CA store and will never forget how helpful one of the staff members were. They did everything short of turning the store inside out to help me find what I needed! The Container store was a lifesaver when trying to fit contents of an 900 sq ft apt into a barely 700 sp ft one in SF!

I have done a closet/wall every six months for the past five years and I love that I can only go to the store a few times a year at the Galleria in Houston and they know me by name ( tht might be a bad thing on my part). I wish you had a location in Clear Lake area, but I may be in trouble if you did. I am definitely the “Poster Child” for Elfa. I love your store, your employess, their enthusiasm, friendliness and love of their job. When I retire, I would love to work for you, just for fun. Hi, I haven’t had a lot of expendable income lately, so I can’t speak directly about your employees, but I will say that I’m so impressed that you take the time to acknowledge your employees, that you actually do care that much about them, that you don’t make them come in before dawn on black Friday after Thanksgiving, that there are things more important to you than the almighty dollar, and that your employees fall into the “more important” category. So, I lift my glass to The Container Store corporation for caring about people, instead of just giving lip-service to caring. You rock!

As a customer, I always look forward to going to the container store because the employees are so HAPPY as well as helpful! The container store has so many solutions to help with organizing my stuff. And after being in a house for over 30 years, we have lots of stuff! Going to the container store is therapy because it improves on the quality of my life because it helps me to organize my life/stuff. I am on my 4th Elf closet which I could not do as well without the helpful knowledge of the employees! I would have made mistakes without their wonderful planning. The Container Store is a fabulous concept made wonderful because of the caring, knowledgeable, and HAPPY employees! Thank you all so much for making every trip to the Container Store a joy!

I have been doing a lot of reorganizing lately in my home, and the employees at the Hulen store in Fort Worth have been fabulous!! They remember me every time I come in. They are never bothered by the fact that I have my little children “helping” me shop. They are always cheerful and go out of their way to help me find the best organizing solutions. Recently, one of my sons saw our newly remodeled and reorganized laundry closet, and he said, “Mom, it looks just like the container store!” Thanks so much for the great service!

I have shopped The Container Stores in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Atlanta and have received great customer service is all the stores. Since I do shop “out of town”, I have to take products and try them in my home (sometimes best laid plans don’t work as I thought) so I have to return and exchange products. Everyone has been so supportive and gracious about the returns. The planning element has been excellent also. This is new to me, as much of my Elfa was purchased 10 years ago and that service wasn’t provided then. The new items that Elfa has added have been easy to work into my home. Mostly, the ability to change, rearrange and adapt to new areas is excellent, and the employees have been valuable to help me reuse my products in new ways.

There isn’t a Container Store in my hometown, so I don’t get to the closest location (a 45 minute trip on a good day) very often. But when I do, I LOVE shopping there. Not only do I love all of the great items to organize my home and life, but I love how friendly and helpful the employees are. It’s really clear that everyone is there because they want to be and they enjoy helping those of us who are “organizationally-challenged” to bring order to our lives. Thanks for all you do!

From them on each employee smiled and joked. You could tell that they loved working there as much as I loved shopping there. When we went to your Chelsea store last June to purchase a clear tote for outdoor storage, the size we were looking for was not in stock. The sales clerk immediately called your Midtown store, determined that they had it and told them to prepare for us to pick up in a short while. We paid for the item in Chelsea, jumped in our car to Midtown and the item was all ready for us. It was great service.
About a month later, we needed another tote…this time it was in stock at Chelsea, and again, we had a very pleasant shopping experience with your staff.
