We’ve had a 34-year love affair with elfa. When we opened our very first store in Dallas back in 1978, we proudly offered elfa Drawer Units, featuring (retrospectively hip) dark brown frames and white wire drawers. While the color palette has been updated and hundreds of new solutions have been added to the collection, the functionality and unsurpassed quality of elfa Shelving and Drawers has remained the same. In fact, we loved the elfa company and product collection so much, we bought the company in 1999!
elfa’s primary manufacturing facility is in the quaint seaside village of Vastervik, Sweden, and the employees there reflect some of the same culture, devotion and passion for the product as we do here at The Container Store! Our companies work closely together to develop and produce beautiful, well-designed products that help you, our time starved customers, enjoy the gift of organization.
