Every year, our Home Office and Distribution Center hosts an Easter Basket Drive that supports Community Partners of Dallas (CPD). We are so proud to announce that this year we gathered more than 350 Easter Baskets that will go to children being served by Child Protective Services in the Dallas area – it’s our biggest collection to date!
Kim from our Distribution Center said, “Once March starts, it’s so fun to watch each department pull out large boxes of Easter decorations, form assembly parties and create hundreds of beautiful Easter baskets for the children of Community Partners of Dallas. What an incredible opportunity to put a smile on a child’s face. We are so proud to work for a company that participates in this Easter Basket Drive, and the number of baskets that we are able to donate each year proves how much our employees care.”
Paige McDaniel, President and CEO of Community Partners of Dallas, said, “Many thanks to everyone at The Container Store for their wonderful gift of so many Easter Baskets! Perhaps you have been wondering why the Easter Basket Drive is important to these precious victims of abuse and neglect? Well, to supplement our 365 days-a-year work of providing essential needs, CPD holds drives several times a year to provide additional items to the kids. When a caseworker arrives at a home with an Easter basket, it helps that parent to see that the caseworker is there to help them and to bring a little joy to their child. That, in turn, helps that parent open up and start talking, to stop the abusing and start the healing. The caseworkers will be here bright and early to pick these up and so that the healing can being as soon as possible.”
