More

We just wrapped up our 19th annual School Supply Drive at our Home Office and Distribution Center. Overall, we raised more than $31,000! – our largest fundraising year yet!

All week long, we had fun events that benefited Community Partners of Dallas (CPD), a nonprofit that provides resources for the caseworkers of Dallas County Child Protective Services in order to restore dignity and hope to abused and neglected children.

Office and Distribution Center employees contributed to our School Supply Drive by participating in many fun events, including a silent auction, a bake sale, an office and distribution center snack cart and our first-ever Employee First Boutique where employees could shop with “Care Bucks” given to them from a colleague for a job well done! They used their Care Bucks to purchase a selection of our products, gift cards to other retailers and restaurants, sporting event tickets and fun gifts from vendors!

And last but not least – Bram’s Hair Dare!  Bram Warrick, Operations Analyst, announced at the beginning of the week that if we raised an extra $1,000 he would buzz his hair (snipping 13” total!) and donate it to Locks of Love (and organization that provides wigs to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis) – and we met his challenge with enthusiasm, raising $1,300!

Check out the fun photos from the week!
