To be able to give back to an organization that provides countless hours of volunteer service to our community year after year was truly rewarding and humbling. That’s what made our donation and installation of elfa Shelving for the Junior League of Charlotte just a delight. After a cheerful greeting from Glenda Bernhardt, Development Coordinator, she showed us the room that was getting the organization makeover – we had planned for three walls of storage solutions. I and our team of Nathan, Gail, Danielle went straight to work. Jennifer, our General Manager, and Becky, our Inventory Coordinator, came over mid-morning, jumped right in and added to the Air of Excitement (one of our Foundation Principles).
After the last shelves were snapped into place, Danielle gathered all of the Junior League members that were in the office. Our “move that bus!” moment came when the door to the room opened and the ladies saw their absolutely beautiful new elfa store room! Comments such as “you did that so quickly,” “I love these drawers!” and “Look how they went around our sprinkler control box so we can get to it!” were just a few of the things we heard. I don’t know who was more excited…us or them! Hearing the gasps and cheers from the ladies who had been operating with a less-than-organized supply room for so long gave us so much joy and gratitude!
