   I have been wearing Life is Good t-shirts for a few years now and have always loved the simple message. My Life is Good and I’ve always been grateful to be able to say that so when I saw my first Life is Good t-shirt I fell in love. When I put on a Life is Good shirt it automatically puts a smile on my face. As I watched and listened to Bert Jacobs I fell in love with what the company represents and I think I fell a little in love with Bert.
   He has opened my eyes to what a company with heart can do. I plan on buying many more Life is Good shirts as I want to contribute to keeping the company alive so they can continue to do what they do. I love the foundation they have started and plan to donate for as long as they continue to make happy little t-shirts that send a wonderful message around the world.

   If I won the $100.00 gift certificate I would organize my computer area with a new desk that actually fits my laptop. Our place is small so we need a compact desk that can also stetch to give working area as does the chestnut roll-out desk.

   What I will do with my one wild and precious life? Thats hard like most people; try to live my life to its most potential. To remember the liitle things and take not of thr huge things. Take time to stop and just say hi to perfect strangers. I would hope as well to get into a career that I can be as pationate about that the company would be for me. That is one reason I will look to a career change and dedicate my energy and time to become a part of such a great compnay such as the container store. Peace, Love, and good life

    I love that kids are the inspiration for Life is Good. Believe it or not, my kids are my inspiration for being organized! I had no idea the average age of homeless people is 9. That was a surprise to say the least. And from this presentation I can tell sibling rivalry never ends!

    Buddha-Success is not the key to happiness, Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
    I love the story of Lindsey- it makes us think about what is true about ourselves. I loved how he went with his gut feeling on where he wanted to go with his company. As my Buddha quote above says – the key is to find happiness. He mentioned do good for others because it makes us feel selflessly good. I started my business 1 year ago. I dont have access to incredible people like Bert. This video (one hour) was incredible in making a “list”. I love what I do – but I would love to create that next step of reaching out to the community for a good cause

    Not make excuses to coach young girls fastpitch softball. I coached for many years and let a few parents break up the team, ruin my joy and the joy of the girls that I worked with. It broke my heart, but they didn’t break my desire to someday get back into it. So many people helped me along my path that it’s imperative that I help other young girls on their own paths.

    Wow, this was so utterly timely for me! I just quit my “stable day job” to pursue my dreams, but have been battling a lot of fear and doubt about my ability to support myself while trying to impact the world. I am a natural pessimist, but I love the idea of optimism. I loved Bert’s definition of optimism: seeing opportunity not obstacles. I am doing a few things with my one wild and precious life–staring a business as a professional organizer, starting a creative design/publishing company, writing books to encourage teenagers and those who work with them, writing and speaking about mental health issues/teen issues to advocate for adolescents’ well-being, and finally, starting a non-profit teen center to provide a safe place where community teens can find mentors and be involved in healthy activities. I am just now getting the courage to step out in faith and go after these dreams and I was so encouraged by Bert’s message today!

    I had no idea that there was this kind of inspiration and passion behind the Life is good brand. Bert is truly an awe inspiring speaker as well a extremely funny. Like most people, I have had my challenges and difficulties along the way but as a young adult I made a conscience decision to love my life no matter what. I do believe it’s the little things. I value how precious life is especially since having my own children and even more so recently after losing my sister to a drunk driver. My quote on my FB page says, “My life is a wonderful life!” It’s a choice as well as a belief. However, after hearing this presentation, I’d like to spend more of my life helping others to also have a wonderful life. Life is great. You just have to believe it is. I’m also going to have my sons (13 and 10) sit down and watch this presentation as well.

I continue to interact with people by teaching aesthetics, systems, and problem-solving through modeling excellence. I’ve always appreciated the people in my life’s journey who have provided opportunities for me to make good choices and in turn, use those best practices to enhance the thinking and skills of others. It helps make our world a better place and truly makes life good. My road trip continues with challenges and excitement around every corner.

    my wild and precious life? While my main goal is to raise successful, responsible adults (out of my three children)… which is truly and wild and precious experience in itself. But to also bring knowledge and information to communities of young mothers. Showing them how to successfully parent without having or needing to go outside their means. I started by blogging about my personal story which expanded to blogging about helping others, and teaching the importance of bonding with your babies and children. I’m hoping it continues expanding through the blog and in life and in the community as we reach out to work one on one with young moms. Because the children of young mothers will one day be adults, and sometimes one small interaction can be the difference between what kind of adult they grow to be.

    Amazing lecture!!! Each year, I ride my bicycle from Houston to Austin with 13,000 other people to raise money for research and hopefully some day a cure for MS. As much as possible, I help teach safety classes before the ride for my team and the ms society to make sure everyone knows the rules of the road (driving class for a bicycle). Volunteering my time, has became very important to me over the last several years.

    His adventure that he has had with the growing of Life is Good is really neat to hear because he did not start out with everything on a silver platter. What did I do when I was finished listening to his lecture? I went to see what kind of careers were open at Life is Good. If I lived in Boston it would be an amazing place to work especially seeing how much time they give back to the community.

    I have just started my own jewelry business, The Caring Bead. I make beads out of recycled paper from magazines, thus Caring for our Enviroment. I also do specialty beads made from the left over gift wrap from special ocassions (baby or bridal showers ). The other great thing about The Caring Bead, is that every few months I pick a different charity and donate a portion of my profits to them. Life is to short not to do something you love and help other people along the way!
