Wrapping on the Fly with Southwest Airlines

Wrapping on the Fly with Southwest Airlines

Will you be flying home for the holidays this year? If so, you’ll likely be packing gifts for family and friends alongside your clothes and toiletries. TSA asks that passengers leave all gifts unwrapped for security screening purposes (in both carry-on and checked luggage!) – but don’t worry! The Container Store and Southwest Airlines have teamed up to spread a little joy and holiday cheer by providing a solution to keep your gifts a surprise and away from curious eyes!

If you’re traveling through one of the 10 airports listed below on Thursday, December 22nd from 10 AM – 3 PM, stop by the Southwest Airlines gate area after you get through security to enjoy FREE gift wrapping from The Container Store’s wrap experts.

Atlanta – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
Chicago
– Midway International
Dallas – Dallas Love Field
Denver – Denver International
Detroit – Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County
Fort Lauderdale – Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International
Indianapolis – Indianapolis International
Nashville – Nashville International
San Jose – Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International
St. Louis – Lambert-St. Louis International

Our employees will also be sharing expert wrapping and bow-making tips using their favorite gift wrap, ribbons and bows from our Gift Wrap Wonderland. So, even if you don’t have gifts to wrap with you at the airport, be sure to stop by to learn how to wrap your own beautiful gifts like a pro once you arrive at your destination! In addition to wrapping gifts, The Container Store and Southwest Airlines will also be giving away prizes every hour for travelers in the gate areas with fun trivia, a gift wrapping challenge, games, and more.

And remember, even if you won’t be able to visit one of our airport gift wrap stations, you can always visit one of our stores to get all the gift wrapping essentials and tips from our experts to create a beautiful gift presentation of your own.

Safe travels and happy holidays!
