We recently hired a new Recruiting Manger – Rachel Kennedy – and she’s been asked by many of her friends, family and former colleagues about what it’s REALLY like to work at The Container Store’s Home Office. So, she wrote a GREAT LinkedIn article called “A Day in the Life at the Home Office of The Container Store” that’s all about her experiences working for our company.
Here’s how her day starts…
“Alarm number three is the first one I actually hear at 6:30 AM. Every morning I deliberate in my closet. My wardrobe is transitioning from business-professional heels and pencil skirts to casual-professional flats and cardigans. I guiltily admit to buying my first pair of skinny jeans last week.
I am in the mood for pancakes today, so I eat breakfast in The Container Store’s Gumby Café. The company heavily subsidizes food here, and fresh seafood is trucked in twice a week (think salmon and scallops-yum!) My giant breakfast pancake and sausage this morning cost less than $2.00.”
